I'm hunting for a new knitting bag. Unfortunately Target is out of stock on all the bags I was considering. I'm not one for internet shopping on things like these. I need to touch and look inside and try it out. I want something smaller than what I am using that zips shut and looks more stylish. Right now I have a large open tote.
So what bags do you guys use?

I love my knitting bag.. I bought it at JoAnns Fabrics and its red oriental print satin. Its a thin, long bag perfect for straight needles.I like the way it hangs across my back and doesn't look like I'm carrying 8 tons of stuff with me. Its almost stylish. I don't do sweaters so its perfect for my small projects & my zip case of supplies.
I use whatever I have around the house. Smaller projects go in those fancy "gift" bags that I can bring myself to toss out. Larger projects get tote bags. The sleeves to my current sweater is traveling around in a plastic bag that says "rags" and came from the paint store. The body of the sweater is in a tote bag that my intern gave me, with skulls-n-crossed-bones on it.
I use an LL Bean open bag that holds my current project and my box of dps, bag of circulars and a little cosmetic case of *extras*, and keep it by the door when not in use.
I found a great knitting tote at ocean state job lot for $10.00. Has a lot of pockets for needles yarn and notions...I needed something that everything would fit in all at once...so I don't have to go looking in several different places to find something. So far it works well. Before I used a fishing tackle box.
